History
of the team: Corey and Ron had a funny car rolling chassis sitting
in a shed for 20 years and were approached by some members of this club to get
the car going. In 2007 with the help of Kincaid Racing got NHRA and IHRA licences
and shared driving one car "TO MUCH FUN". In 2008 purchased another
funny car from Cal Tebb Racing
Drag Racing general
history: Ron and Corey grew up on a farm in Drayton Valley riding in
rodeo's and making anything with a motor go fast! Ron got his licence first and
went drag racing with Corey as crew. Ron brought the first drag race to Drayton
with the hot rod club shutting down a new major secondary Hwy. Ron campaigned
a 10sec Chevy II along with many others. Corey drag raced and raced some ATV's,
stock car and (with Arvid Fonstads help) built rapid fire motorsports park in
Drayton Valley operating for 15 years featuring sprint cars, monster trucks, mud
drags, demo. derby, tractor pulls etc. getting to drive a nitrous big block mud
rail car and Marvin Anderson's Monster truck Wild Thing . In 2007 the brothers
decided it was time to go drag racing again and what's more fun than a FUNNY CAR!!!
Career highlights: Team award Rocky Mnt. Nats.,2
NHRA Wally wins at Mission B.C., Rocky trophy wins in 2011
Ron's highlights
include some serious wheeling in the 10 sec Chevy II and winning two funny car
events in 2009. Corey's highlights include getting to drive a monster truck and
a mud drag rail car and running a 6.77 @ 202mph. in the funny car in 2009.
Current racing plans: To have a consistent
successful season in 2012 and win some races.
Any racing future goals: To
become one of the predominant racing teams as a whole package.
Favourite
racing moment: Corey's has to be the long ride from Tim Boychuk's camp
to ours at 4 am on a 50cc motorcycle with 3 200lb men aboard " WE MADE IT"
Heroes of the sport: Ron and Corey
both agree the real heroes to us are our families and crew ( who are now our family)
who do so much to allow us to be "KIDS" again.
Thank You!!!!
